Our Molten Muse, Peachy Sky wallpaper brings together fluid, wavy gradient textures with clean geometric cutouts in soft pastel pink, muted peach, lilac, and airy sky blue tones. Created by Irina Chikati, the abstract composition balances soft vertical color melts against sharp circular and rectangular forms, giving the wall a distinctive postmodern visual rhythm. The made-to-measure design is printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, making it a striking backdrop for contemporary living rooms and creative spaces.
About the design
In this design, we particularly like the contrast between liquid movement and structured graphic geometry. A backdrop of soft, rippling vertical gradients in pastel pink, peach, powder blue, and faint lavender is punctuated by overlapping geometric elements, including clean circles, vertical pillars, and rectangular blocks. Some shapes reflect the wavy digital textures beneath, while others appear in semi-translucent, muted pastel planes that ground the composition.
The scale of the motifs creates an open, architectural feel across a full wall. Rather than relying on a tight, repeating pattern, our abstract mural wallpaper feels like a large-scale canvas where warm peach and cool pastel tones drift seamlessly into one another. The balance of sharp geometry and soft chromatic blur gives the artwork an expressive 1990s and postmodern aesthetic, adding visual interest whether seen from across the room or up close.
In the room
We see this wallpaper working especially well on a wide, uninterrupted wall in a living room, bedroom, or home office. Because the geometric elements and fluid color waves have generous scale, giving the mural a continuous wall allows the full composition and its subtle color transitions to be appreciated without feeling crowded.
In a living room, placing the design behind a low sofa or credenza anchors the seating area while letting the upper graphic shapes catch the light. In a bedroom, it works naturally as a feature wall behind the bed, where the gentle pastel pink and sky blue tones create a calm, atmospheric backdrop. For a home office, the interplay of structured geometry and soft fluid textures adds visual energy without overwhelming a workspace.
Styling it
To complement the postmodern character of the design, we would pair this wallpaper with contemporary furniture that features clean silhouettes and simple profiles. Low-profile seating in neutral upholstery, light wood finishes like pale birch or ash, and painted matte surfaces in soft chalky tones allow the colors in the mural to remain the focal point.
For surrounding accents, frosted glass, brushed silver or chrome metalwork, and smooth ceramic objects echo the soft-meets-sharp dialogue of the artwork. When choosing floor coverings or larger textiles, we suggest keeping patterns minimal, opting for solid woven textures that balance the fluid gradients on the wall.
Colour combinations
Our wallpaper combines pastel pink, soft peach, dusty lilac, and airy sky blue against pale grey and cream undertones. When choosing colors for surrounding surfaces, we suggest drawing out one of these muted hues or keeping the palette grounded in soft neutrals.
Adjacent walls in a warm off-white, light dove grey, or pale cream provide a gentle transition that lets the mural stand out naturally. For doors, skirting boards, or accent furniture, a subtle dusty blue or desaturated peach creates a thoughtful, cohesive connection to the gradient tones within the design.
